

Non-prescription medicine indicated to relieve pain, inflammation and reduce fever.
Ilgesin is an over-the-counter medicine indicated in adults and adolescents over the age of 16 years for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain (headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea, joint pain, muscle pain).
Active Substance: Naproxen.
Posology and method of administration:
The recommended daily dose for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age weighing more than 50 kg is 1 coated tablet every 8 hours or every 12 hours. Alternatively, the starting dose is two film-coated tablets, followed by an additional film-coated tablet after 8-12h if necessary. The maximum daily dose is 3 film-coated tablets. For elderly patients 2 film-coated tablets per day, divided into two doses, are recommended. It is recommended to use the lowest effective dose. The maximum dose for patients with renal impairment is 2 film-coated tablets per day, divided into two doses.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. History of bronchospasm, asthma, nasal polyps, rhinitis, urticaria, anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions associated with the administration of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Peptic ulcer/active bleeding or history of peptic ulcer/recurrent bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of ulceration or proven bleeding). Severe hepatic impairment. Severe renal impairment. Severe heart failure. Last trimester of pregnancy. Cerebrovascular bleeding or other active bleeding. Children under the age of 2 years.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde.
