Aspirina Direkt 500mg is indicated for the treatment of pain of mild to moderate intensity such as e. ex. headaches, toothaches, muscle pain, primary dysmenorrhea or febrile states (lasting less than three days) associated with colds or flu.

Active substances: 500mg of acetylsalicylic acid.

As a salicylate, acetylsalicylic acid belongs to the group of analgesics/non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. As an ester of salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid is a substance endowed with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Its mechanism of action is based on the irreversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes, involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins.

Posology and method of administration:

Acetylsalicylic acid should not be taken for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor. Adults: 500 to 1000 mg for each administration (corresponding to 1 to 2 sachets). The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 8 sachets, observing an interval of 4/8 hours between administrations. Children from 12 years of age: 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid for each administration, corresponding to 1 sachet. If necessary, the administration can be repeated up to 3 times a day, observing an interval of 4/8 hours between administrations. It must not be given to children under 12 years of age. For oral use. Aspirina Direkt 500 mg should be placed directly on the tongue. The granules dissolve in the saliva in the mouth before being swallowed, so it is not necessary to drink water after this action.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde.
