Diltix is indicated for adults and adolescents from 20 kg of body weight (from 7 years of age) for the short-term symptomatic treatment of:

- mild to moderate pain

- fever

Active ingredient: 200mg ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) derived from propionic acid with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects, presumably acting by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzyme, which results in a marked reduction in prostaglandin synthesis. These properties provide relief from symptoms of inflammation, pain and fever.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years (≥ 40 kg): For oral, short-term use only. The dose of ibuprofen depends on the patient's age and body weight. In adults and adolescents, the maximum single daily dose of 400 mg of ibuprofen should not be exceeded. More than 400 mg at a time does not provide a better analgesic effect. At least an interval of 4 hours should be left between doses. The total dose should not exceed 1200 mg of ibuprofen in a 24 hour period. Adult and adolescent patients should consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, or if Brufen is needed for more than 3 days in case of fever and 5 days in case of pain. The starting dose is 200 mg or 400 mg of ibuprofen. If necessary, additional doses of 1 or 2 equivalent tablets (from 200 mg to 400 mg of ibuprofen) can be taken, up to 3 times a day with an interval of 4 to 6 hours. By mouth. Diltix should be taken with a glass of water. The tablets should not be crushed, chewed or sucked in order to avoid stomach or throat irritation. It is recommended that patients with a sensitive stomach take Diltix with food.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
