For the treatment of tick infestations (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes hexagonus, Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has immediate and persistent tick killing activity for at least 5 weeks.

For the treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis). The product has immediate and persistent flea killing activity against new infestations for at least 5 weeks.

The product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (DAPP). For the treatment of sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei).

Fleas and ticks must be attached to the host and start feeding in order to be exposed to the active substance.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity on the part of the animal to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Do not administer to dogs less than 8 weeks old or weighing less than 1.3 kg without veterinary advice.

If your dog is pregnant, seek advice from the veterinarian before administering this veterinary medicinal product.

Wash your hands after handling the product.

Directions for use:

For oral administration. The tablets can be taken with or without food. Simparica tablets are chewable and palatable and when given by owners are readily consumed by dogs. If the tablet is not taken voluntarily by the dog, it can also be administered with food or directly into the mouth. Pills must not be split.

The product should be administered at a dose of 2–4 mg/kg body weight.

> 1.3-2.5Kg = 5mg

> 2.5-5Kg = 10mg

> 5-10Kg= 20mg

> 10-20Kg = 40mg

> 20 -40Kg = 80mg

> 40–60Kg= 120mg

>60Kg= Proper combination of pills

For the treatment of tick and flea infestations, Simparica should be administered once a month during the flea and/or tick season for optimal control.

For the treatment of sarcotic mange, Simparica is given once a month for two consecutive months.
