Afilaria is an antiparasitic with activity against the larval stages of D. immitis and is indicated for the prevention of cardiopulmonary heartworm disease in dogs.

The product must be administered orally, once a month in a single dose.

If treatment with the veterinary medicinal product has been interrupted or forgotten for a period longer than two months since its last administration, consult the veterinarian. In dogs weighing more than 45 kg. the appropriate combination of tablets should be administered. The suggested dose of Moxidectin is 3 μg/kg of weight at one month intervals, during the period when the intermediate host (the mosquito) is present to control the development of the migrating larval stages.
