Therios 750mg 200 Pills

Therios are palatable tablets for dogs.

Active substance: Cephalexin

Dogs: Treatment of bacterial skin infections (including superficial and deep pyoderma) caused by microorganisms sensitive to cephalexin; for the treatment of urinary tract infections (including nephritis and cystitis) caused by microorganisms sensitive to cephalexin.

Dosage and administration route:

Oral administration.

15mg of cephalexin per kg of body weight twice a day (equivalent to 30mg per kg of body weight per day) for:

• 14 days in urinary tract infections.
• At least 15 days on superficial pyoderma.
• At least 28 days in deep pyoderma.

In acute or severe conditions, the dose can be safely doubled to 30mg/kg twice a day. To ensure dose accuracy, tablets may be divided into halves or quarters.

Any increase in dose or duration of treatment must be in accordance with the risk/benefit assessment of the prescribing veterinarian.

To ensure correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid overdose.

Therios tablets are well accepted by dogs, but if necessary they can be crushed or added to small amounts of food immediately before feeding.
