Equimel Pasta is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes in horses:

• Strongylus vulgaris: adults and larvae in the 4th stage (arterial stages)
• Strongylus edentatus: adults and larvae in the 4th stage (tissue stages)
• Strongylus equinus: adults
• Cyathostomum spp.
• Cylicocyclus spp.
• Cylicodontophorus spp.
• Cylicostephanus spp.
• Gyalocephalus spp.
• Trichostrongylus axei: adults
• Oxyuris equi: adults and immature
• Parascaris equorum: adults
• Strongyloides westeri: adults
• Habronema muscae: adults
• Onchocerca spp. (microfilaria)
• Dictyocaulus arnfieldi: adults and immature
• Gasterophilus spp. (oral and gastric larval stages)

Active substance: Ivermectin 18.7 mg/g

Posology, method and route of administration:

A single administration of 200 µg of ivermectin per kg of body weight.

Each graduation of the syringe provides the amount of paste needed to treat 100 kg of body weight (equivalent to 1.07 g of veterinary medicinal product and 20 mg of ivermectin).

For correct use, the horse's weight must be determined as accurately as possible. The horse's mouth must not contain food. Introduce the syringe into the horse's mouth in the interdental space and deposit the paste at the base of the tongue. Immediately after administration of the paste and for a few seconds, keep the horse's head slightly raised to ensure swallowing.

A new treatment can be carried out depending on the epidemiological situation, but respecting a minimum interval of 30 days.
