Ronaxan 100mg 10 pills

Ronaxan 100mg is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of infections in dogs caused by organisms sensitive to doxycycline.

Active substance: Doxycycline (Hyclate) 100 mg.

The veterinary medicinal product is effective against a large number of Gram positive and Gram negative pathogenic microorganisms such as: Pasteurella spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.

It is indicated for the treatment of the following infections in dogs, caused by organisms sensitive to doxycycline:

- Respiratory infections, including rhinitis, tonsillitis, bronchopneumonia.

- Skin infections, including suppurative dermatitis and abscesses.

- Urinary tract infections: Cystitis and prostatitis.

- Infections of Organs reproductive organs (metritis).

Treatment of bacterial infections transmitted by arthropods caused by: Borrelia burgdorferi, Ehrlichia canis, Anaplasma phagocytophilum and Bartonella spp.

Posology and method of administration:

Oral administration with food.

The recommended dose is 10 mg doxycycline per kg bodyweight, once a day for 3 to 5 days for acute infections and 8 to 10 days for chronic infections. For arthropod-borne diseases, the recommended dose is 10 mg kg/day for up to 28 days. Complete eradication cannot always be achieved, but treatment for up to 28 days ensures a beneficial reduction in bacterial load. Duration of treatment should be based on the risk assessment carried out by the responsible veterinarian.
