Nasex 1mg/ml Nasal Drops 10ml

Nasex 1mg/ml Nasal Drops is indicated for the temporary symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion caused by rhinitis or sinusitis.

Active Substances: 1mg/ml xylometazoline.

Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictor properties and thus causes decongestion of the stuffy nose.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and children over the age of 12 years: 1-2 drops in each nostril no more than three times a day. This medicine should be used for a maximum of 7 days, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. Do not exceed recommended serving. To minimize the risk of getting infections, the medicine should not be used by more than one person and the adapter should be washed after each use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Patients with increased intraocular pressure, especially in patients with angle-closure glaucoma. Patients with dry inflammation of the nasal mucous membrane (Rhinitis sicca). Patients under 12 years of age. Patients after transphenoidal hypophysectomy or transnasal/transoral surgeries in which the dura mater has been exposed. Patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have been treated with an MAOI in the previous 2 weeks, or other drugs with a potentially hypertensive effect. Patients with atrophic or vasomotor rhinitis.
