Heartgard 30 Plus (up to 11kg) 6 tablets

Heartgard 30 Plus is a veterinary medicine indicated for the prevention of canine dirofilariasis and treatment and control of ascarids and hookworms in dogs weighing up to 11 kg. Prevention of canine dirofilariasis by eliminating the tissue larval stages of Dirofilaria immitis , up to one month (30 days) after infection and concomitant treatment and control of infections by ascarids ( Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina ) and hookworms ( Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala ). Prevention of the development of adult Dirofilaria repens , when administered at monthly intervals (30 days).

Active Substances: Ivermectin and Pyrantel (in the form of pamoate).

Target species : Canines (dogs).

Dosage and route of administration:

The veterinary medicinal product is formulated for oral administration at a minimum recommended dose of 6 μg ivermectin and 5 mg pyrantel (as pamoate) per kg body weight at monthly intervals (30 days). The recommended dosage regimen for the prevention of canine heartworm disease and for the treatment and control of roundworm and hookworm infections is as given in the package leaflet. Since most dogs find the chewable tablets palatable, they can be fed to them by hand. They can also be given intact with food. The chewable tablet should be given to the dog in a manner that encourages the animal to chew it; otherwise, the chewable tablets should be broken into small pieces before administration; dogs usually swallow them whole.
