Ketesse 25mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain of mild to moderate intensity, such as musculoskeletal pain, dysmenorrhea, toothache.

Active substance : dexketoprofen 25mg.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults: According to the nature and intensity of the pain, the recommended dose is, in general, 25 mg every 8 hours. The total daily dose should not exceed 75 mg per day. Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms. Ketesse is not intended for long-term treatment and treatment should be limited to the symptomatic period. Dissolve the entire contents of a sachet in a glass of water and shake well to help dissolve. The solution obtained must be ingested immediately after reconstitution. Concomitant administration with food delays the rate of drug absorption, therefore, in case of acute pain, it is recommended that administration be at least 30 minutes before meals.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Patients to whom substances with a similar action (acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs) have precipitated attacks of asthma, bronchospasm, acute rhinitis or caused nasal polyps, urticaria or angioneurotic edema; known photoallergic or phototoxic reactions during treatment with ketoprofen or fibrates in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Patients with peptic ulcer/bleeding or any history of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration or perforation. Patients with chronic dyspepsia. Patients with other active bleeding or bleeding disorders; patients with Crohn's Disease or ulcerative colitis; patients with severe heart failure; patients with moderate to severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance ≤59 ml/min.) patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh score scale between 10 - 15). Patients with bleeding diathesis and other clotting disorders. Patients with severe dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake). During the third trimester of pregnancy and the lactation period.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
