Medicinal product not subject to medical prescription indicated for the local relief of pain in dislocations, sprains or bruises.
Description
Olfen 140mg is indicated for short-term treatment. Local relief of pain symptoms in acute dislocations, sprains or bruises of the extremities occurring after trauma without open injury.
Active ingredients: 140mg diclofenac
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory/analgesic substance that reduces symptoms of pain, swelling and fever due to inflammation. In addition, diclofenac reversibly inhibits ADP and collagen-induced platelet aggregation.
Dosage and method of administration:
In adults, a medicated plaster should be applied to the affected area twice a day, morning and evening. The maximum total daily dose is 2 medicated plasters, even if there is more than one injured area to be treated. Only one affected area should be treated at a time. Cutaneous use. The medicated plaster must not be cut. If necessary, the medicated plaster can be fixed using a mesh bandage. The medicated plaster should not be used with an occlusive bandage. Based on the limited data available, only short-term treatment is recommended. The therapeutic benefit of use longer than 7 days has not been established. In adolescents aged 16 years and over and adults, if the drug is needed for more than 7 days for pain relief or if symptoms worsen, parents of adolescents/patients should consult their physician.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. In the last trimester of pregnancy. Hypersensitivity to any other analgesic and anti-rheumatic medication (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including acetylsalicylic acid). Patients who have had an attack of asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis due to acetylsalicylic acid or any other NSAIDs. Active peptic ulcer. Application on open wounds, burns, skin infections or eczema. Use in children and adolescents under 16 years of age is contraindicated.
