Thrombocid Gel 15mg/g 100g

Thrombocid Gel is suitable for:

- Mild to moderate muscle pain, bruises and post-traumatic pain.

- Topical adjuvant therapy for varicose syndrome.

- Complications of treatment with injectables (superficial thrombophlebitis, strokes/bruises).

Active substances: Each g of gel contains 15 mg of sodium pentosan polysulfate (equivalent to 50,000 IU of heparin).

Thrombocid contains particularly high concentrations of the active substance pentosan sodium polysulfate. Due to its anticoagulant and fibrinolytic effects, and being a heparin-like substance, it prevents local thrombogenesis and dissolves existing microclots, thus improving capillary circulation. Furthermore, it has an antiphlogistic effect, and as an inhibitor of hyaluronidase, it reduces the high vascular permeability in the inflamed area and thus the local edema itself. Furthermore, the essences, which constitute the composition of the gel, have local spasmolytic and analgesic properties.

Posology and method of administration:

Apply the gel in a thin layer to the affected skin area, once or several times a day. No need to rub. Do not apply the gel to exposed wounds. The gel can be used for long term treatments.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
