Flector Tissugel 140mg Transdermal Patch is indicated for the symptomatic relief (relief of pain, inflammation and swelling) of: mild to moderate muscle pain (myalgia and muscle contractures); post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (tendinitis, bursitis, epicondylitis, periarthritis, sprain, dislocation and contusion); post-traumatic pathology (sports injuries associated with bruises or post-traumatic pain) and localized forms of degenerative rheumatism: osteoarthritis of the peripheral joints and spine.

Active Substance: Diclofenac hydroxyethylpyrrolidine (DHEP) – 180 mg (equivalent to 140 mg of diclofenac sodium).

The activity of diclofenac hydroxyethylpyrrolidine is due to its anti-inflammatory action in the following clinical conditions: traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles, joints, for example, following strains and bruises; extra-articular rheumatism; localized rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis of the peripheral joints and spine.

Dosage and method of administration:

Skin application 2 times a day, morning and evening on the area to be treated for a period not exceeding 7 days. When Flexor Tissugel is applied to mobile regions, it may be convenient to use an elastic sleeve over the system. There are insufficient data on efficacy and safety in children and adolescents under 16 years of age. In adolescents over 16 years of age and adults, if it is necessary to use the drug for more than 7 days for pain relief or if the symptoms worsen, the patient/relative of the adolescent should consult a doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients, to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and to isopropanol. Decompensated heart failure. During pregnancy and breastfeeding.

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
