Basiflux 1.6mg/g Syrup 200ml

Basiflux 1.6mg/g Syrup it is a mucolytic adjuvant in the antibacterial treatment of respiratory infections in the presence of bronchial hypersecretion.

Active substances: 1.6 mg bromhexine/ml syrup.

Bromhexine works by increasing the amount of secretions while reducing their viscosity.

Dosage and method of administration:

Pediatric population: Children over 12 years: 5 ml, 3 times daily, up to a maximum of 30 ml (equivalent to 48 mg bromhexine) daily. Children aged 6 to 12 years: 2.5 ml, 3 times a day, up to a maximum of 10 ml (equivalent to 16 mg of bromhexine) daily. Children aged 2 to 6 years: 1.25 ml, 3 times a day, up to a maximum of 5 ml (equivalent to 8 mg of bromhexine) daily. Basiflux should only be given to children under 2 years of age under medical supervision. Adult Population: 5ml (1 complete scoop), 3 times a day. At the start of treatment, it may be necessary to increase the total daily dose, up to a maximum of 30 ml (10 ml, 3 times a day, equivalent to 48 mg of bromhexine) in adults.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
