Movicol Oral Solution 30 sachets

Movicol is a non-prescription medicine indicated for the treatment of constipation in adults and adolescents (from 12 years of age). It is also effective in resolving fecal impaction, defined as refractory constipation with fecal loading from the rectum and/or colon.

Active ingredients: Each 25ml sachet of Movicol contains Macrogol 3350 13.125g, Sodium Chloride 0.3508g, Sodium Bicarbonate 0.1786g and Potassium Chloride 0.0502g.

Dosage and method of administration:

It must be administered directly from the sachet. This product does not need to be diluted with water. Adults, adolescents and elderly: 1-3 sachets daily in divided doses, according to individual response. For long-term use, the dose can be adjusted down to 1 or 2 sachets per day. Sufficient fluid intake (generally 2 to 2.5 liters daily) is recommended to maintain good health.

Contraindications:

Intestinal perforation or obstruction, due to structural or functional disturbances of the intestinal wall, ileus, severe inflammatory conditions of the intestinal tract, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and toxic megacolon. Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
