Spidifen EF 400mg Granules for Oral Solution is indicated for adults and children over 12 years of age for the symptomatic treatment of the following conditions: mild to moderate pain (rheumatic and muscular pain), back pain, neuralgia, migraine, headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea, fever, and cold and flu symptoms.

Active substance : 400mg of Ibuprofen.

Dosage and method of administration:

Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms. The interval between doses depends on the evolution of symptoms, but will never be less than 4 hours. Adults and adolescents over 12 years (≥ 40 kg): 400 mg given as a single dose or up to 3 times daily with an interval of 4 to 8 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 1200 mg. The maximum duration of treatment without a doctor's prescription is 7 days for pain and 3 days for fever. Children under the age of 12 (

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. History of hypersensitivity reactions (eg, bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema, or urticaria) in response to administration of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs; History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Peptic ulcer/active bleeding or history of peptic ulcer/recurrent bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of ulceration or proven bleeding); Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, peptic ulcer or recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding (defined as two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Severe heart failure (New York Cardiology Association class IV). severe liver failure; severe renal failure; Patients with bleeding diathesis or other clotting disorders, cerebrovascular hemorrhage; Congenital disorder of porphyrin metabolism (eg acute intermittent porphyria); Chronic alcoholism (14-20 drinks/week or more); Patients with problems in the production of blood cells of unknown cause. Pregnancy and/or breastfeeding. This medicinal product contains aspartame and is contraindicated in patients suffering from phenylketonuria.
