Enjomin 50mg is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting, vertigo, dizziness or indisposition during travel and also for the symptomatic treatment of nausea, vomiting and vertigo due to Ménière's disease or other labyrinth disorders.

Active substance: Dimenhydrinate 50mg.

Enjomin's active ingredient is dimenhydrinate, H1 receptor antagonists from the ethanolamine group. This group is characterized by having antimuscarinic, antihistaminic, antiemetic activities and an evident tendency to induce sedation, being useful to reduce vomiting, nausea and in the relief of motion sickness.

Dosage and method of administration:

Travel sickness - Adults and children 12 years and older: 1 50mg to 1 100mg suppository 30 minutes to 1 hour before travel. This dose can be repeated every 4 to 6 hours if necessary, but not to exceed 4 suppositories of 100mg (400mg) in 24 hours. Children 6 to 12 years: 1/2 50mg suppository (25mg), 30 minutes to 1 hour before travel. This dose can be repeated every 4 to 6 hours if necessary, but not to exceed 3 suppositories of 50 mg (150 mg) in 24 hours. Children 2 to 6 years: 1/2 50mg suppository (25mg), 30 minutes to 1 hour before travel. This dose may be increased every 4 to 6 hours if necessary, but not to exceed 1 suppository and 1/2 of 50 mg (75 mg) in 24 hours. Ménière's disease: 1 suppository of 50 mg, three times a day.

Contraindications:

Enjomin should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Dimenhydrinate or any of its other components. Enjomin is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
