Effipro Duo 50mg / 60mg Cat it is a medicine against flea infestations or flea and tick infestations.

Fleas:

Treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). One treatment prevents future flea infestations for 5 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by inhibiting the development of eggs for 12 weeks after application. The veterinary medicine can be applied as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Sting Allergic Dermatitis (DAPP) when it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Ticks:

Treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus turanicus). One application guarantees persistent acaricidal efficacy against ticks for one week (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus turanicus). If ticks of certain species are present at the time of application, they may not all be killed within the first 48 hours.

Active substances: Fipronil and Pyriproxifene.

Target species: Felines (Cats 1-6 Kg).

Posology and route of administration:

Spot-on solution. For a cat between 1 to 6 kg, apply a 0.5 ml pipette per cat corresponding to a minimum recommended dose of 8.3 mg fipronil / kg body weight and 10 mg pyriproxyphene // kg body weight. In cats weighing more than 6 kg, 2 0.5 ml pipettes can be applied in order to obtain the recommended dose of 1 ml.

Remove the pipette from its packaging. Hold the pipette vertically. Cap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are in the main body of the pipette. Break the “spot-on” pipette fitting cap along the dashed line. Remove the hair at the base of the animal's neck until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly against the skin and gently squeeze several times to empty its contents at one or two different points. Ensure the application only on undamaged skin and avoid losses or a more superficial application on the cat's fur.
