Vetmedin it is indicated for the treatment of canine congestive heart failure caused by dilated cardiomyopathy or valve failure (mitral and / or tricuspid valve regurgitation).

For the treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy in the preclinical stage (asymptomatic with an increase in the end diastolic and end systolic diameters of the left ventricle) in Doberman Pinschers after the echocardiographic diagnosis of heart disease.

For the treatment of dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease (DMVM) in the preclinical stage (asymptomatic with a systolic mitral murmur and evidence of increased heart size) to delay the onset of clinical symptoms of heart failure.

Active substance (s): Pimobendan.

Posology and route of administration:

Do not exceed recommended serving.

Accurately determine body weight before treatment to ensure a correct dose.

The dose should be administered orally and maintained in a range of 0.2 mg to 0.6 mg of pimobendan / kg of body weight divided into two daily doses.

The preferred daily dose is 0.5 mg / kg of body weight, divided into two daily doses (0.25 mg / kg of body weight each).

Each dose should be administered approximately 1 hour before eating.
