Cortavance Spray is a veterinary medicine for dogs containing hydrocortisone aceponate 0.584 mg/ml.

Hydrocortisone aceponate is a topical corticosteroid with strong intrinsic glucocorticoid activity, which results in the relief of inflammation and itching, leading to rapid improvement in dermatological lesions observed in cases of inflammatory and pruritic dermatoses.

Contraindications: Do not apply to skin ulcers.

Dosage:

Before administering, attach the spray pump to the bottle. The product is applied by activating the spray pump at a distance of approximately 10 cm from the area to be treated. The recommended dose is 1.52 µg of hydrocortisone aceponate/ ^cm² of affected skin per day. This dose can be achieved with two activations of the spray pump over a treated area equivalent to a 10 cm x 10 cm square. Repeat treatment daily for 7 consecutive days. Care must be taken to avoid spraying the animal's eyes. Presented as a volatile spray, this product does not require massage. In cases requiring prolonged treatment, the attending veterinarian should consider the use of the product based on a benefit/risk assessment. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, treatment should be reevaluated by the veterinarian.
