Robexera 5mg is a veterinary medicine indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with chronic osteoarthritis and for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with soft tissue surgery in dogs.

Active substance: Each chewable tablet contains Robenacoxib 5mg.

Dosage and method of administration:

Oral administration. Do not administer with food, as clinical trials have demonstrated better efficacy of robenacoxib for osteoarthritis when administered without food or at least 30 minutes before or after food. The tablets are palatable. The tablets should not be divided or broken. Osteoarthritis: The recommended dose of robenacoxib is 1 mg/kg body weight within a range of 1–2 mg/kg. Administer once daily, at the same time, according to the table below. Clinical response is usually observed within one week. Treatment should be discontinued if no apparent clinical improvement is observed after 10 days. For long-term treatment, when a clinical response is observed, the dose of robenacoxib should be adjusted to the lowest effective individual dose, reflecting that the degree of pain and inflammation associated with chronic osteoarthritis may vary over time. Regular monitoring by a veterinarian should be performed. Soft tissue surgery: The recommended dose of robenacoxib is 2 mg/kg of body weight with a range of 2-4 mg/kg. Administer as a single oral treatment before soft tissue surgery. The tablet(s) should be taken without food at least 30 minutes before surgery. After surgery, daily treatment may be continued for two more days.

Contraindications:

Do not administer to dogs with gastrointestinal ulceration or liver disease. Do not administer concomitantly with corticosteroids or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Do not administer to pregnant or lactating animals.
