Flabien 1000mg 60 tablets

Flabien is indicated in adults for the treatment of signs and symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, such as pain, heaviness, tired legs, restless legs, night cramps, leg edema and trophic changes. Symptomatic treatment of acute hemorrhoidal crisis.

Active Substance: 1000mg of diosmin.

Diosmin reduces venous distensibility and decreases venous stasis. Reduces capillary permeability and reinforces capillary resistance. It also exerts anti-inflammatory action through effects on prostaglandin synthesis.

Dosage and method of administration:

Chronic venous insufficiency: the usual daily dose is 1 tablet. Treatment should continue for at least 4 to 5 weeks. Hemorrhoidal crisis: during the first 4 days of treatment, the daily dose is 3 tablets. During the next 3 days the recommended daily dose is 2 tablets. The recommended maintenance dose is 1 tablet daily. In this indication, Flabien is intended for short-term treatments only.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

In accordance with the legislation in force, medicines not subject to medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
