Lomexin 200mg 6 eggs

Lomexin 200mg is indicated for the treatment of vaginal fungal infection known as vaginal candidiasis (vaginal discharge) in adolescents over 16 years of age and adult women.

Active substance: Each ovum contains 200mg of fenticonazole nitrate.

Dosage and method of administration:

It is intended for vaginal use only. Do not swallow them. The eggs should be inserted into the vagina as deep as possible at bedtime. The recommended dose is one 200mg ovum per day, for 6 consecutive days. The recommended dose for children aged 16 years and over is the same as for adults. If you eat or swallow the egg, contact a doctor immediately or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. It is not recommended for children under 16 years of age. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. Fatty fillers and oils in eggs can damage latex contraceptives, such as condoms and diaphragms. The use of spermicides (a substance inserted vaginally that destroys sperm and is used as a contraceptive alone or in combination, for example diaphragm) is not recommended. Any local vaginal treatment may inactivate a barrier contraceptive spermicide. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor before using this medicine. When used during pregnancy and breastfeeding requires supervision from a doctor.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
