Normogin 40mg 6 vaginal tablets

Normogin is indicated to restore and maintain the physiological vaginal flora, preventing the recurrence of vaginal and genitourinary tract infections associated with a reduction in lactobacilli.

Active substance: Each tablet contains 40mg of lyophilized culture of a selected strain of Döderlein's bacillus (Lactobacillus rhamnosus).

Dosage and method of administration:

Restoration of physiological vaginal flora after vaginal infections and/or after local or systemic treatment with anti-infective agents (including antibiotics). It should be used immediately after antibiotic treatment for at least 12 days. Maintenance of physiological vaginal flora to prevent the recurrence of vaginal infections and prevention of genitourinary tract infections in women (UTIs) related to a decrease in vaginal lactobacilli. Adults should take 1 or 2 vaginal tablets daily for 6 days followed by 1 vaginal tablet per week, to be inserted into the vagina for medium or long-term treatment (2 to 24 months). It can also be used during menstruation. Normogin should not be used at the same time as antibiotic treatment because antibiotics can inactivate lactobacilli. Not recommended for children under 18 years of age, as experience in children is limited.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
