Mebocaína Forte 4mg + 1mg + 0.2mg 16 tablets

Strong Mebocaína It is indicated for the treatment of infections of the oral cavity and inflammation associated with flu or cold, as well as relief of sore throat, painful swallowing, pharyngitis, hoarseness, thrush, gingivitis and stomatitis.

Active Substances: 4 mg of thyrothricin, 1 mg of cetylpyridinium chloride and 0.2 mg of oxybuprocaine hydrochloride.

Thyrothricin is a topically acting antibiotic with bacteriostatic activity against gram positive microorganisms. Cetylpyridinium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound that has a bactericidal action on gram positive and gram negative microorganisms. It also has fungistatic properties as well as antiviral activity against viral membranes. Oxybuprocaine hydrochloride relieves sore throats and painful swallowing caused by inflammation.

Posology and method of administration:

Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours. Maximum daily dose: 3 tablets. Adults and children over 12 years: Serious infections – 1 tablet every 1 or 2 hours. Less severe cases – 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours. Maximum daily dose: 12 tablets. Intended for short term use: 5 to 7 days. Mebocaína Forte is not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Allow the tablet to dissolve slowly in your mouth. Do not chew or swallow.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. It is not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age, due to a possible allergy to menthol.
