Fucidine Ointment 30g

Fucidine it is an antibiotic for topical use.

Fucidine it is particularly indicated in adults for the treatment of localized skin infections caused by fusidic acid sensitive microorganisms, such as boils, impetigo, pyoderma, abscesses, folliculitis, infected acne and wounds.

Active substance: One gram of ointment contains 20 mg of sodium fusidate.

Fucidin is active against some gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative cocci, while it has no activity against gram-negative bacteria and fungi.

The antibacterial activity of Fucidin is not affected by the presence of pus.

The ointment is more greasy as it contains lanolin, making it ideal for dry, cracked, bruised lesions and closed lesions such as abscesses.

Can be used with or without dressing.

Posology and method of administration

Apply two to three times a day, with or without an occlusive dressing.

A minimum treatment of 8 days is recommended.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
