Ibudol is a non-prescription medication indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, including migraine headache, toothache, muscle pain, contusion and post-traumatic pain.

Active substance: Each 10 ml sachet of suspension contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.

Dosage and method of administration:

Orally, preferably after meals. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest period of time necessary to relieve symptoms. This medicine is for short-term use only. You should not use doses higher than those recommended, not for more than 3 consecutive days for fever, or more than 7 days for pain, unless expressly indicated by your doctor. The dose of ibuprofen depends on the patient's age, body weight and clinical situation. In adults it is recommended to take 400 mg given as a single dose or 3 times a day with an interval of 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 1200 mg. This medicine should not be given to children under 18 years of age without a doctor's advice.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Previous hypersensitivity reactions (eg asthma, rhinitis, urticaria or angioedema) in response to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs. History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to prior NSAID therapy. Active peptic ulcer/bleeding or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (two or more proven distinct episodes of ulceration or bleeding). Severe liver or kidney failure. Severe heart failure (NY Heart Association class IV) or coronary heart disease. Last trimester of pregnancy. Significant dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake). Cerebrovascular hemorrhage or other active hemorrhage. Dysematopoiesis of unknown origin. Chronic alcoholism (14 to 20 drinks/week or more).

In accordance with the legislation in force, medicines not subject to medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
