Ibudol is a non-prescription medicine indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment in adults of mild to moderate pain, rheumatic and muscle pain, back pain, neuralgia, primary dysmenorrhea, toothache, migraine, mild to moderate headaches, symptomatology associated with flu-like conditions and colds and/or fever (less than three days).

Active substance: Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen as the active substance.

Dosage and method of administration:

The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest period of time necessary to relieve symptoms. In adults, 1 tablet is recommended (up to 3 times a day). The maximum daily dose should not exceed 1200 mg of ibuprofen over a 24-hour period. It should not be given to children under 18 years of age without a doctor's advice. In the elderly, there is no need to change the dose, unless there is severe renal or hepatic insufficiency. Due to the possible side effect profile, it is recommended to monitor the elderly carefully.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Hypersensitivity to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Patients with a history of asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic edema or bronchospasm associated with the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients with severe heart failure (NY Heart Association class IV). Patients with severe hepatic impairment. Patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min). Patients with coagulation disorders (with a tendency to increase bleeding). History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Ibuprofen should not be used in patients with active disease, or a history of ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, peptic ulcer disease or recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding (defined as two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Congenital porphyrin metabolite disorder (eg acute intermittent porphyria). Chronic alcoholism (14 to 20 drinks/week or more). Patients with problems in the production of blood cells of unknown cause. Third trimester of pregnancy. Taking into account the status of the medication (medication not subject to a medical prescription and only dispensed in a pharmacy), in case of pregnancy and/or breastfeeding, the medication should not be dispensed except on medical advice.

In case of doubt or persistence of symptoms consult your doctor or pharmacist.
