Trifeduo is a non-prescription drug indicated for the temporary relief of mild to moderate pain associated with migraines, headaches, back pain, menstrual pain, toothaches, rheumatic and muscle pain, cold and flu symptoms, sore throats and fever. This medication is especially suitable for pain that requires stronger analgesia than ibuprofen or paracetamol alone. It is indicated for adults aged 18 years and over.

Active ingredient: Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen and 500 mg of paracetamol.

Dosage and method of administration:

For short term use only. Adults: take one tablet up to three times a day, with water. The interval between individual doses should be at least six hours. If single doses of one tablet do not control symptoms, a maximum of two tablets can be taken up to three times a day. The interval between individual doses should be at least six hours. The maximum dose is six tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen, 3000 mg acetaminophen) in any 24-hour period.

Contraindications:

This medicine is contraindicated: In patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. In patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions (eg bronchospasm, angioedema, asthma, rhinitis or urticaria) associated with acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). In patients with active peptic ulcer/bleeding or a history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of ulceration or demonstrated bleeding). In patients with existing gastrointestinal ulceration/perforation or bleeding or a history of gastrointestinal ulceration/perforation or bleeding, including that associated with NSAIDs (see section 4.4). In patients with clotting disorders. In patients with severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment or severe heart failure (NYHA class IV).

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
