Epitact Left Hand Flexible Proprioceptive Orthosis M

Epitact Flexible Proprioceptive Hand Orthosis helps to relieve joint pain associated with osteoarthritis at the base of the thumb (rhizarthrosis). It limits traumatic micromovements (movement of the hands in space when walking, talking, etc.), keeps the thumb in a resting position and maintains local heat at the joint.

Features:

• Keeps the thumb in a resting position: the alignment of the thumb bones limits the forces exerted on the trapeziometacarpal joint and relieves pain;
• Absorbs traumatic micro-movements: during the day, the thumb appears to be at rest, but it constantly moves with the movement of the hands in space. Without immobilizing it, the flexible orthosis will support the thumb and the 1st carpal bone. This proprioceptive support will help absorb traumatic micro-mobilizations and limit painful inflammatory episodes;
• Maintains local heat: the Epitact Orthosis has an antalgic effect (pain relief), due to the properties of its fabric and the Epithelium Flex silicone tendon, which maintain local heat.
• Composition: 14% silicone, 86% polyamide/elastane fabric.
• Flexible, thin and discreet, this orthosis allows you to maintain full hand functionality: you can drive, write, use the telephone… and wear your watch or jewelry!

Directions for use:

This product is an orthosis for daytime use. It is available in two versions: right hand and left hand (the seam should be on the inside of the hand). Slide the orthosis onto the hand by sliding the thumb into position. The seam should be positioned on the inside of the hand. For greater comfort, adjust the position of the orthosis by slightly moving the seam more or less towards the centre of the inside of the hand. Machine wash at 40°C, in the washing bag provided, or wash by hand (without rubbing). Leave to dry naturally. Do not iron. Do not use stain removers (acetone, solvent, etc.). Do not apply to an unprotected wound. In case of severe swelling: monitor the hand during use.
