Reuxen is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute, mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, muscle and joint pain, rheumatic pain, primary dysmenorrhea and post-traumatic pain lasting no longer than 7 days. It can be used in the symptomatic treatment of fever lasting no more than 3 days.

Active ingredient: naproxen 250mg.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and adolescents over 16 years of age: The usual dose is 500 mg daily in two divided doses, 12 hours apart. In primary dysmenorrhea: A starting dose of 500 mg is recommended. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 500 mg. In the elderly, it is prudent to use the lowest effective dose, and the simultaneous administration of a gastric protector may be necessary. The tablets are intended for oral use. They should be swallowed with a full glass of water during or between meals. Do not use for more than 7 days for the treatment of acute pain and for more than 3 days for the treatment of fever. Patients should be advised to consult their treating physician if pain persists or worsens.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance (naproxen) or to any of the excipients. History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Peptic ulcer or active bleeding or history of peptic ulcer or recurrent bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of ulceration or proven bleeding). Severe heart failure. Severe liver failure. Severe renal failure. Due to the possible occurrence of cross-sensitivity reactions, it should not be administered to patients in whom acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal analgesic/anti-inflammatory drugs induce severe allergic manifestations. Third trimester of pregnancy. In children under 16 years of age.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
