Buscopan 10mg belongs to a group of drugs classified as antispasmodics.

Active substances: 10 mg Butylscopolamine Bromide (N-butylthioscin bromide).

Buscopan exerts a spasmolytic action on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract and the biliary and genito-urinary tract.

Posology and method of administration:

Adults and children over 6 years: 1 to 2 coated tablets, 3 to 5 times a day. The coated tablets should be swallowed whole with a liquid. Buscopan should not be administered daily on a continuous basis or for long periods without investigating the causes of abdominal pain.

According to the legislation in force, medicines not subject to medical prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
