Diosmina Venosmil is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, including tension, a feeling of heaviness in the legs, pain and nocturnal cramps in the calf region. It is also used to treat exacerbation of symptoms related to hemorrhoidal disease.

Active substances: 1000mg diosmin per film-coated tablet.

Dosage and method of administration:

Diosmina Venosmil is administered orally, preferably during meals. In chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs: the recommended dose is 1 tablet per day, taken in the morning during a meal. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 6 weeks of treatment, you should consult a doctor. In case of exacerbation of haemorrhoidal symptoms: the recommended dose is 1 tablet 3 times a day for 4 days, followed by 1 tablet 2 times a day for a further 3 days. If symptoms persist or worsen after 7 days, you should consult a doctor. Self-medication with Diosmina Venosmil can last up to 7 days. If symptoms do not disappear during this period, medical evaluation is recommended.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. The medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, nor for pregnant or breastfeeding women, due to the lack of sufficient data on its safety. If an exacerbation of haemorrhoidal symptoms occurs, the medicine does not replace other specific treatments for anal diseases. In chronic venous insufficiency, the best efficacy is obtained with complementary measures, such as avoiding long periods of standing, excessive sun exposure and being overweight. Walking and appropriate compression stockings can improve circulation.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

According to current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to deliveries to other Member States of the European Union.
