Casenlax Powder 10g It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of constipation in adults and children from 8 years of age.

Active substances: 10 g of macrogol 4000.

High molecular weight macrogols (4000) are long linear polymers that trap water molecules through hydrogen bonds. When administered orally, they produce an increase in the volume of intestinal fluids. That's why adequate hydration is important during treatment.

Posology and method of administration:

1 to 2 sachets per day, preferably taken as a single serving in the morning. It is recommended to drink 125 ml of fluids (eg water) after each dose. Casenlax takes effect 24-48 hours after its administration. The daily dose must be adjusted according to clinical effects and can vary from one sachet every two days (especially in children) to two sachets a day. Treatment should be gradually stopped and resumed if constipation occurs. For children, treatment should not last longer than 3 months, due to lack of clinical data from treatments longer than 3 months. The restoration of bowel movements induced by the treatment will maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet. Each sachet should be dissolved in a glass of water (approximately 125 ml) immediately before use. The resulting solution will be clear and transparent like water.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
