Frest 1mg/g Gel 30g

Frest is a non-prescription medication indicated for adults, adolescents and children aged 1 month and over, for the short-term relief of itching associated with dermatoses, hives, insect bites, sunburn and superficial skin burns ( first degree).

Active substance: 1 gram of gel contains 1 mg of dimetindene maleate.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Second and third degree skin burns. Children under the age of 1 month, particularly premature infants. Application on large areas of the skin. Application on injured skin.

Dosage and method of administration:

It should be applied to adults, adolescents and children as a thin layer on the affected, itchy skin area up to three times a day. The patient should be advised to consult a doctor if he does not feel better after 3 days of use. The maximum duration of treatment without consulting a doctor is 7 days. In children and infants avoid use on large areas of the skin. It should not be used in children under the age of 1 month, particularly premature infants. It must be used under medical supervision in children between 1 month and 2 years old. For cutaneous use, on intact skin. Apply a small amount to the area to be treated. Then make a gentle massage with your hand to facilitate the penetration of the medicine into the skin. Do not cover with occlusive dressings. Do not apply to large areas of the skin or damaged skin or mucous membranes.

In accordance with the legislation in force, medicines not subject to medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
