Migraspirin 500mg 12 effervescent tablets

Migraspirin 500mg is indicated for the symptomatic relief of migraine-associated headaches.

Active substances: 500mg of acetylsalicylic acid.

As a salicylate, acetylsalicylic acid belongs to the group of non-steroidal analgesics/anti-inflammatory drugs. As an ester of salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid is a substance endowed with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Its mechanism of action is based on the irreversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults: 1,000 mg as a single dose. If the crisis persists, the dose can be repeated if necessary after a minimum period of 4 hours. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 3 g. Migraspirin should not be taken for more than 3 consecutive days without consulting a doctor. If migraine attacks are frequent, if their frequency increases or if symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted and an alternative treatment should be considered.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
