Ibuprofen Farmoz is a non-prescription medicine used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of: Mild to moderate pain such as toothache, headache. Fever of different etiologies.

Substances Aactive: 20mg of ibuprofen.

Posology and method of administration:

The dosage varies depending on the patient, their age and their clinical situation. Each 5 ml of solution contains 100 mg ibuprofen. It does not contain sugar, so it can be taken by diabetics. Adults: Although other dosage forms of ibuprofen 200 mg, 400 mg or 600 mg are generally used for adults, when swallowing is difficult, it can be administered in a dose of 15 ml (300 mg) - 4 times a day. For adults and adolescents the maximum recommended dose is 2400 mg/day. If this medicine is needed in adults or adolescents for more than 3 days, in case of fever, or for more than 4 days to treat pain, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. Elderly: It is not necessary to adjust the dose, except in cases of renal or hepatic impairment, in which the dose must be individualized. It is administered orally, preferably after meals. May cause a transient burning sensation in the mouth or throat. Shake the bottle well before use.

Contraindications:

Asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic edema or bronchospasm associated with the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Coagulation disorders (with a tendency for increased bleeding). Gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, peptic ulcer, or recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding (defined as two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Patients with severe heart failure. Patients with severe hepatic impairment. Patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min). If you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
