Astrilax Odis 20mg 20 orodispersible tablets

Astrilax Odis 20mg is a medication indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (seasonal and perennial) and urticaria with mild symptoms in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older).

Active substance: Each orodispersible tablet contains 20 mg of bilastine. Excipient with known effect: each orodispersible tablet contains 0.0030 mg of ethanol.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and over): 20 mg of bilastine once daily for the relief of symptoms of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis) and urticaria. The tablet should be taken one hour before or two hours after eating or drinking fruit juices. Duration of treatment: Treatment of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis should be limited to the period of exposure to allergens. Treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis should be interrupted after resolution of symptoms and restarted after their reappearance. In perennial allergic rhinitis, patients may be offered continued treatment during periods of exposure to allergens. For urticaria, the duration of treatment depends on the type, duration and development of symptoms. Method of administration: Oral route. The orodispersible tablet should be placed in the mouth, where it is rapidly dispersed in saliva, so it is easily swallowed. Alternatively, the orodispersible tablet can be dispersed in water before administration. Grapefruit juice or any other fruit juices should not be used for dispersion.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
