Cromabak 20mg/ml Eye drops is indicated for the symptomatic prophylactic treatment of perennial or seasonal allergic conjunctivitis with a previous medical diagnosis.
Active substance: cromolyn sodium.
Cromoglycate sodium has anti-allergic properties at the level of the conjunctival mucosa. By stabilizing the mast cell membrane, it prevents the release of chemical mediators responsible for anaphylactic reactions.
Posology and method of administration:
Ophthalmic use. Wash hands thoroughly before instillation. Avoid contact of the tip of the bottle with the eye or eyelids. Adults and children over 4 years of age: depending on the severity of symptoms, instill 1 drop of eye drops 4 to 6 times a day, at regular intervals, into the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye, pulling the eyelid slightly down and looking up. Re-seal the bottle after use. This medication is not for long-term use. If the symptoms do not go away within 7 days, the patient should contact the doctor.
According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
