Thrombovarix 1000mg 30 pills

Thrombovarix is a non-prescription medication indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, including tension, heaviness in the legs, pain and nocturnal cramps in the calf region and/or hemorrhoidal vein disorders. Treatment of exacerbation of symptoms related to hemorrhoidal disease.

Active substance: Each film-coated tablet contains 1000mg of micronized diosmin.

Dosage and method of administration:

For oral administration. Adults: In chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs: 1 film-coated tablet daily, in the morning during a meal. If the symptoms of the disease get worse or do not improve after 6 weeks of treatment, the patient should contact his doctor. However, the patient can continue to take it for a longer period if the doctor does not consider other targeted treatment necessary. Exacerbation of hemorrhoidal symptoms: 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day for 4 days, then 1 film-coated tablet 2 times a day for a further 3 days, to be taken with a meal. If symptoms do not improve or even worsen after 7 days of treatment, the patient should contact their doctor. Self-medication can last up to 7 days, if the symptoms do not disappear during this period, the patient should contact his doctor. Pediatric population: Not recommended for use in children and adolescents under the age of 18 due to lack of data.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

In accordance with the legislation in force, medicines not subject to medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
