Micolysin 10 mg/g Cutaneous Solution is indicated for the treatment of interdigital mycoses (eg Tinea pedum, Tinea manuum), diaper dermatitis, treatment of pityriasis versicolor and vulvar and balanic candidiasis.

Active substances: clotrimazole.

Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal agent with activity and action similar to that of ketoconazole, also having "in-vitro" activity against Cladosporium , Phialophora Mucor spp and Pseudallescheria boydii .

Dosage and method of administration:

Micolysin cutaneous solution should be applied twice a day on the injured areas. This dosage corresponds to the average dose and can be modified whenever the clinician deems it necessary. The proposed treatment duration is as follows, although it can be modified whenever the clinician deems it necessary. Interdigital mycoses: 3 to 4 weeks. Tinea Pedis: treatment should be continued for a further two weeks after clinical symptoms have disappeared. Diaper dermatitis: 1 week (after this period, treatment may continue when indicated by the doctor). Pityriasis versicolor: approximately 3 weeks. Vulvar and balanic candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Hypersensitivity to antifungals of the imidazole group.
