Frontline Combo for Cats is a medicine for external use to control and prevent infestations by fleas, ticks and biting lice.

Active substances:

  • Fipronil: adulticidal active substance of 50.00 mg.
  • (S)-methoprene: ovicide and larvicide of 60.00 mg.

Indications for use:

Cats:

  • Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp). The insecticidal effect against new adult flea infestations persists for 4 weeks. Prevention of the multiplication of fleas, by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity) and larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) descending from eggs laid by adult fleas, for 6 weeks after application.
  • Elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 2 weeks against ticks (based on experimental data).
  • Elimination of biting lice (Felicola subrostratus).

Ferrets:

  • For treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations. Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp). Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for 4 weeks. Prevention of the multiplication of fleas, by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity) and larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) descending from eggs laid by adult fleas, for 4 weeks after application.
  • Elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus). The product has persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 4 weeks against ticks (based on experimental data).

Contraindications:

It should not be administered to kittens less than 8 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not administer to ferrets less than 6 months of age. Do not administer to sick animals (e.g. systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals. Do not administer to rabbits, as adverse reactions or even death may occur.

How to apply the pipette:

Keep the pipette upright. Before breaking the end, ensure that all the contents are inside the main part of the pipette. Break the end. Remove the hair from the animal's back, at the base of the neck, in line with the shoulder blades, until the skin is clearly visible. Bring the tip of the pipette close to the skin and squeeze it several times to completely empty its contents directly onto the skin, at the point of application.

Recommendations:

It is important to make regular applications throughout the year, even before observing the presence of fleas or ticks, in order to avoid the installation of the parasite's life cycle in the environment. It is recommended to apply the product to all animals in the house, even those that do not go outside.
