Ataxxa is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis).

Fleas on the dog are killed within 1 day of treatment. One treatment prevents future flea infestations for 4 weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis.

Active substances: Permethrin and Imidacloprid.

After topical administration to dogs, the solution is rapidly distributed over the animal's body surface. Both active substances remain detectable on the skin and coat of the treated animal for 4 weeks. Systemic absorption of the veterinary medicinal product is sufficiently low to impair efficacy or tolerance in the target species.

Dosage and route of administration:

For spot use only. Apply only to undamaged skin.

The minimum recommended doses are: 10 mg of imidacloprid per kg of body weight and 50 mg of permethrin per kg of body weight. Dogs up to 4 kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 200 mg/40 mg. Dogs 4-10 kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 500 mg/100 mg. Dogs 10-25 kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 1250 mg/250 mg. Dogs 25-40 kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 2000 mg/400 mg. Dogs +40 kg - the appropriate combination of pipettes should be applied.

To reduce reinfestations resulting from the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended that all dogs living in the household be treated. Other animals living in the same household should be treated with an appropriate veterinary medication. Also to facilitate environmental disinfection, it is recommended to additionally use an appropriate environmental treatment against fleas and their development stages.

Depending on the number of fleas, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment. The interval between the two treatments should be 4 weeks. However, in cases of frequent and/or prolonged exposure to water, the persistent effectiveness may be reduced. In these cases, do not administer more frequently than once a week.
