Flevox 402mg Dogs is indicated for the treatment of flea ( Ctenocephalides spp .) and biting/sucking lice ( Trichodectes canis ) infestations in very large dogs.

Target species: Canines (Dogs).

Active Substance : Fipronil.

Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for up to 8 weeks. Newly arrived fleas are killed within 48 hours of arrival on the animal. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) when this has been previously diagnosed by the veterinarian.

The product has not demonstrated an immediate acaricidal effect against ticks, but has demonstrated persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 4 weeks against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus ticks and for up to 3 weeks against Ixodes ricinus . If ticks of these species are present when the product is applied, the ticks may not all be killed within the first 48 hours, but will be eliminated within a week.

The product should not be applied to puppies under 8 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 2 kg.

Dosage and route of administration:

For external use only. Administer by spot-on application. Animals must be accurately weighed prior to treatment. Apply 1 0.67 ml pipette topically to the skin in dogs weighing more than 2 kg and up to 10 kg. The minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
