Nurofen is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.

Active substance: 5 ml of oral suspension contains 100 mg of ibuprofen and 1 ml of oral suspension contains 20 mg of ibuprofen (equivalent to 2%).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria) associated with the administration of acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Patients with disorders in the production of blood cells of unknown cause. Patients with cerebrovascular or other active bleeding. During the last trimester of pregnancy (see section 4.6). Patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Patients with active peptic ulcer/bleeding or a history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Patients with severe hepatic insufficiency, severe renal insufficiency or severe heart failure. Patients experiencing severe dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake).

Dosage and method of administration:

The dose of ibuprofen to be administered depends on the child's age and body weight. For children from 3 months to 12 years of age, the recommended daily dose is 20-30 mg per kg of body weight divided into 3 to 4 administrations. For correct dosage, there is a spoon with two measures inside the package (the large spoon corresponds to 5 ml of Nurofen Strawberry oral suspension and the small spoon corresponds to 2.5 ml of Nurofen Strawberry oral suspension), or a syringe for oral use graduated. The bottle must be shaken well before use. For patients with a sensitive stomach, it is recommended that Nurofen Strawberry oral suspension is taken during a meal.

If you have any doubts or symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
