Broncoliber Oral Solution 50mg/ml It is indicated in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over for the secretolytic treatment of acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases characterized by the formation and insufficient transport of bronchial secretions.

Active substance: 1ml of oral solution contains 50mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.

Ambroxol is a specific thinner that acts on the viscosity and structure of mucus. It increases the production of lung surfactant and stimulates ciliary activity. These actions result in an improvement in the flow and transport of mucus (mucociliary clearance). The improvement in mucociliary clearance, which has been demonstrated in clinical pharmacological studies, facilitates sputum and coughing.

Posology and method of administration:

Dosage in adults and adolescents over 12 years: The normal dose is 3 sprays three times a day, corresponding to 90 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day. 1 spray equals 0.2 ml of solution and contains 10 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride. Broncoliber should not be used in children under 12 years of age due to the high concentration of ambroxol hydrochloride in this solution.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
