Fluimucil 4% 200ml Oral Solution

Fluimucil 4% it is a mucolytic adjuvant in the treatment of respiratory problems associated with hypersecretion of thick, viscous mucus.

Acetylcysteine [N-acetil-L-cisteína (NAC)] exerts a marked fluidizing mucolytic action on mucous and mucopurulent secretions through the depolymerization of mucoprotein complexes and nucleic acids that increase the viscosity of vitreous and purulent sputum and other secretions.

Active substances: Acetylcysteine 40 mg/ml.

Posology and method of administration:

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 600 mg (15 ml) of Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution once a day, preferably in the evening, or 200 mg (5 ml) of Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution, 3 times a day. Maximum recommended dose of 600 mg/day. Pediatric population: Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age. Children from 2 to 6 years of age: 300 mg (7.5 ml) of Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution once a day, preferably in the evening, or 100 mg (2.5 ml) of Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution, 3 times a day. Maximum recommended daily dose 300 mg/day. Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 300 to 400 mg (7.5 to 10 ml) of Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution once a day, preferably in the evening, or 100 mg (2.5 ml) of Fluimucil 4%, 40 mg/ml oral solution, 3 to 4 times a day. Maximum recommended daily dose 300 to 400 mg/day.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
