Betadine Cutaneous Solution 100mg/ml 10x5ml

Betadine Cutaneous Solution is indicated:

Disinfection of wounds. Disinfection of skin and mucous membranes. Adjuvant in the treatment or prophylaxis of infection in interdigital mycoses (e.g. athlete's foot). Disinfection of skin and mucous membranes before surgical interventions, injections and punctures.

Active substance: povidone-iodine 10g.

Elemental iodine (I2), present in povidone-iodine, has long been known as a highly effective microbicidal agent that rapidly kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and some protozoa in vitro.

Dosage and method of administration:

During preoperative preparation, avoid placing the patient on the solution. Prolonged exposure to the solution may cause irritation or, rarely, severe skin reactions. Skin burns may occur due to placing the patient on the solution. Pediatric population: Betadine is contraindicated in children under 1 month of age. For topical use only. Apply the pure solution locally, as often as necessary. Read the package leaflet carefully and if in doubt or symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

According to current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to deliveries to other Member States of the European Union.
