Devik 25.000 UI / 2,5ml Oral Solution 4 sachets

Devik is a medication indicated for the initial treatment of vitamin D deficiency.

Active substance: 0.625 mg of cholecalciferol (equivalent to 25,000 IU of vitamin D3).

Dosage and method of administration:

The recommended dose is 25,000 IU per week. If it is necessary to extend treatment beyond 8 weeks, you should contact your doctor. The dosage should be determined individually by the doctor, depending on the degree of need for vitamin D supplementation. After the first month, lower doses may be considered. Higher doses, under medical supervision, up to 50,000 IU/week for 6-8 weeks may be considered. After initial treatment, maintenance therapy with a dose determined individually by the doctor may be necessary. Patients should be advised to take Devik preferably with meals. The product should be shaken before use and can be taken directly or mixed with a small amount of cold or warm food immediately before use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria. Hypervitaminosis D. Kidney stones (nephrolithiasis, nephrocalcinosis) in patients with hypercalcemia. Severe renal impairment. Pseudohypoparathyroidism.
